Helibores at Angelsey Abbey

The beautiful early spring flowers of the Helibore. These plants have a lovely elegance, the tricky part is finding a flower that points up to the light so that you can capture the beautiful patterns and delicacy of the anthers and stamens.

You may recognise the style, but to recap, I don't use my macro lenses anymore but work with my 85mm portrait lens with extension tubes and work hand held with a very shallow depth of field, between f1.2 up to f2.
